It is always nice when parents can agree to behave for the sake of their children. Ron Perelman, the Revlon mogul and one of his exes, Patricia Duff, agreed to “bury the hatchet” according to the New York Post Page Six. The agreement is under seal of course, but Perelman continues to enjoy full legal custody of the couple’s 13 year old daughter (who scandalously had her law guardian bring her mom up on harassment and emotional abuse charges apparently).
It’s always sad when such young kids have to seek orders of protection from their parents. I wonder if any of this has to do with either parent bad mouthing the other? It can be so damaging to children when their sparring parents go to war like this and place them in the middle. Sometimes the children act out to “please” one or the other parent. They blow things out of proportion just because the know they will get kudos from the parent whose approval they seek. I’m not saying this is what happened here. But it does happen.
The New York Supreme Court judge said “part of the settlement included all three continuing to see court-arranged therapists.”
