Just when you think you”ve heard it all, a story like this one that unfolded in Tallahassee, Florida emerges. And you are left scratching your head wondering if you live in the Twilight Zone.
Seems that a German grandmother by the name of Marianne Bordt, 71, drowned her 5 year old Grandson while the two were vacationing in the Florida Panhandle. The reason she gave authorities for her incomprehensible act is that she didn’t want to see her grandson grow up in a divorce home.

The grandmother, Marianne Bordt, tried to commit suicide after the drowning Monday by wading into the Gulf of Mexico wearing heavy clothes, authorities said. Bordt, of Nufringen, Germany, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of Camden Hiers at a condominium on St. George Island, about 60 miles southwest of Tallahassee.” Go here for more.

The five year old, a cutie named Camden Hiers, had two parents who loved him very much and who shared joint custody of him, even though it seems the mother had primary physical custody.
