Bridget Moynahan is no stranger to divorce. She played a divorcee on Sex and the City (Big dumped her for Carrie) and, I guess you could say she and Tom Brady had an epic “divorce” three years ago (even though, technically, they were never married) when he knocked her up and then dumped her for Giselle Bundchen. But Bridget is not bitter. And she’s very pragmatic when it comes to divorces and breakups. She did an interview with WebMd which reads in part:
In Blue Bloods, costarring Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg, you play Erin Reagan-Boyle, a DA and single mom. What’s it like playing her?
I can relate to a lot of the character. I think a majority of women in their late thirties and up can. Unfortunately, divorce is very high and single parenthood is very high. Raising a teenage daughter is something that I am unfamiliar with, but I can understand the stress and confusion about it. When I read the script for the first time I thought there was so much that we could play with. The multi-dimensional character really interested me.
We have always rooted for Bridget. She seems like a nice girl and we hope she finds her true mate soon, get married, and have a bunch of babies. Bon chance, Bridgitte!
