Since their 1996 divorce on account of Fergie’s indiscrétions, the Duke of York His Royal Highness Andrew Windsor and the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson have remained tight friends. So tight, that they continue to live together and take holidays together and raise their daughters together and appear together at public memorials. In fact, rumor has it that the pair will remarry anyday. Kate Mansey of The TIMES UK recently wrote an article about the Duke and Duchess:
PRINCE ANDREW has revealed that he remained friends with Sarah Ferguson after their divorce “more for the family than anything else” and described their split as just “part of life’s rich tapestry”. Speaking in an interview to be broadcast this week, the Duke of York said it was “illogical” not to remain on good terms with his ex-wife, who retained the title Duchess of York after their divorce and who is still invited to stay at Balmoral, the Queen’s residence in the Highlands.
There must be some truth to these rumors that the couple have reconciled. Think about it: It has been 18 years since they divorced and Andrew has never found another girlfriend meanwhile he continues to harbor Sarah in his castles and apparently now she routinely gets invited to the Queen’s residence for teas, dinners and sleepovers. And listen to Sarah on her relationship with Andrew – according to Mansey’s article:
During an appearance at a literary festival on Sunday, Sarah apparently refused to deny rumours that they were getting back together.
“He’ll always be my handsome prince,” she said. “It’s really lovely that we are still a family and the story has a happy ending all the time.”
She added: “In our every day, we really respect each other and we honour each other and it’s just lovely to have that sense of integrity, to what we believe is right; to what is good and compassion and love and kindness.
“And that’s the way we are.”
