Ian Workman killed his wife Sue Workman a few years ago and is serving a life sentence for the crime. They were having a brawl about the divorce. Susan wanted half of their fortune from Ian’s successful car dealership business. The two were married about 2.5 decades. In the meantime, while he was in prison, two of his three sons sued him for the money their mother would have received had she not been murdered at his hands. Ian had already allegedly given a significant chunk of that money to his eldest son, and was accused of “dissipating” his assets. But an appeals court sided with the two younger sons and ordered Ian to pay them over £1 million pounds in a settlement plus half a million pounds in legal fees.
