Divorce Travel By Grace Ann Diaz for Divorce Saloon International Magazine: Le Saloon
Speaking of Divorce Travel, I just came across what looks like an amazing trip to Spain at a really good price and it sounds perfect for a recent divorcée who is looking to exhale. It’s from Travelocity. The photos are amazing. Read this:
This trip pairs Barcelona’s renowned architecture with some of Spain’s most idyllic beaches.
For $799 per person, this six-night European getaway includes a stay in Barcelona, the city Fodor’s calls “quirky, cosmopolitan and effortlessly cool,” and Mallorca, a posh Spanish island retreat.
Never heard of Mallorca? Lonely Planet calls it a “classic Mediterranean postcard” for its azure waters and stellar beaches. The island also has quaint hilltop towns and verdant mountain ranges. It’s a trendy destination for European vacationers, but not so trendy that it feels over-crowded.
What you need to know:
- International and intra-Spain flights; four nights in Barcelona; two nights in Mallorca; daily breakfast; and taxes and fees are included.
- Travel dates are during shoulder season, when weather is still balmy at the beach but there are fewer crowds in Barcelona.
- Putting this together on your own would cost up to $300 more per person.
- Starting at $199 more, add flights and a two-night hotel stay in your choice of Madrid, Costa del Sol, Granada, Ibiza or Valencia.
Depart from NYC: April 25; May 15; Sept. 17, 24, 25; Oct. 11, 12, 24.
Surrounding dates, including June departures, start at +$100. Departures from other gateways are also available for $799. Click here to see a complete list of dates, prices and departure gateways.
The 4-star Novotel Barcelona Cornella is 15 minutes from the city center by metro and there’s a stop nearby. The hotel has an outdoor pool and garden as well as an on-site Mediterranean restaurant. City center upgrades are available.
The Hotel RD Mar de Portals in Mallorca is a 4-star adults-only resort with two pools and a terrace garden. The beach is a three-minute walk from the hotel and past guests love the secluded feel. You can add additional nights in Mallorca starting at $69 per person, per night.
Book by April 12.
