In Hollywood, Co-parenting by divorced former couples is all the rage – it is the new Black
Have you noticed that “co-parents” and “co-parenting” are the new buzzwords in Hollywood these days? It is in vogue to say “we are co-parents” in Hollywood. The alternative is coarse, vulgar and uncivilized. All the gossip magazines, as well as the celebs themselves are using the buzzwords. Even divorce blogs are talking about the co-parents in Hollywood. This divorce blog, Divorce Saloon, is certainly guilty (we are working on a list as we speak!).
We love this trend of flaunting your co-parenting skills! Co-parenting is good for kids, families and society. Everyone from Gwyneth and Chris Martin; Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner; Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick and Jenny Garth and Peter Facinelli are all getting kudos for their co-parenting skills and praising each other in public (sets a good example for their fans!). But celebs don’t want to be good co-parents privately and quietly. They want everyone to know how good they are at the art – and can you blame them? Fighting over your kids almost seems animalistic and uncivilized. It’s like using the word “movies” instead of “films.” Who do you think would WIN the award for best co-parents in Hollywood?
